Catherine (Caty) Arnold, OMS-III is a third-year medical student and Senior Osteopathic Principles and Practice Fellow at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ivins, Utah. In her role, she teaches first- and second-year students in OPP laboratories, assists in the faculty-supervised OMM clinic, and contributes to scholarly activities in osteopathic medicine. Outside of medicine, she enjoys soccer, volleyball, hiking, canyoneering, and cheering on the KU Jayhawks.
Her research interests focus on integrating osteopathic manipulative medicine into clinical care and exploring novel applications for improving patient outcomes. She has presented nationally on topics ranging from OMT’s role in sprinting performance to case studies highlighting innovative pain management strategies. At the 2025 AAPM&R Annual Assembly, she is presenting two posters: Intranasal Ketamine for Fibromyalgia: A Case Report on Pain Relief and Restored Function and Symptomatic Os Acromiale with Impingement Signs: A Case Report.
Caty has been recognized as Researcher of the Year by her institution and serves on the AOCPMR Research Committee, where she helps expand student research opportunities in PM&R. She aspires to pursue a career in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care.
