Will Kardasis is a fourth-year medical student at Saint Louis University with a strong interest in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biochemistry and is applying to PM&R residency this fall. His academic and clinical interests include musculoskeletal medicine, diagnostic problem solving, and innovative rehabilitation strategies that optimize patient function and quality of life.
Will has contributed to multiple research projects, including case reports and clinical studies, with 14 research outcomes. He is currently completing away rotations in PM&R, where he has gained exposure to a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. He is especially drawn to interdisciplinary collaboration and the role of PM&R physicians in restoring independence for patients with complex neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Will has been actively involved in leadership and extracurricular roles during medical school, further strengthening his commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care. He looks forward to pursuing residency training in PM&R and contributing to the field through clinical care, research, and education.
