Anisa Carlson is a third-year medical student at the University of Minnesota Medical School interested in pursuing a career in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. During her pre-clinical training, she served as president of the PM&R Student Interest Group, taught a disability awareness session for third-year medical students, and participated in PM&R research. Her research on disability awareness in graduate medical education will be presented at this conference. Anisa is currently completing a longitudinal integrated clerkship at the Minneapolis VA, where she frequently works with PM&R physicians to provide rehabilitation care for veterans. Her additional clinical interests include sports medicine, with experience in high school training rooms, football coverage, and local marathons. She is grateful for the opportunity to share her work and to engage with the PM&R community.
