Ted Miclau, MD, MS is a resident physician in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He earned his MD from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Master of Science in Community Health and Prevention Research from Stanford University. Dr. Miclau’s research has spanned diverse approaches to neurological and musculoskeletal care, including the impacts of musculoskeletal injury on spinal cord injury recovery, telehealth solutions and subsidized rideshare transportation to overcome healthcare barriers, and the implementation of a mobile health application to make spine research more cost-effective. He currently serves on national committees with both the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and is passionate about advancing research, mentorship, and trainee engagement in PM&R. Prior to his medical training, he was an NCAA All-American and international platform diver, representing both Stanford University and the Puerto Rican national team.
