Angelica Arshoun M.S. is an M4 at Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM) and an aspiring physiatrist. Her research passions revolve around understanding mind–body connections through both clinical research and patient experiences. In addition to exploring rare and complex pathophysiologies through case reports, her clinical research has focused on fibromyalgia, its psychiatric comorbidities, and strategies to manage these patients' physical and psychological health. These projects/experiences have highlighted the complexity of chronic illness and have underscored the importance of patient-centered, multidisciplinary care. Outside of research, Angelica has participated in a variety of mentorship and teaching opportunities including working as an MCAT tutor, serving as a peer tutor and mentor at DUCOM, and serving as a mentor for students from the University of Pittsburgh, which is her alma mater. She is passionate about rehabilitation medicine, mentorship, and research, and is excited for the opportunity to further each of these passions throughout her career.
