Kahsavyah (Kashaviyah) Buckley, M.Sc., is a dual-degree MD/MScR student at Emory University School of Medicine and Rollins Graduate School of Public Health in Atlanta, GA. His clinical and research interests are in psychiatry, with a focus on mood disorders and the impact of cognitive behavioral therapies on emotion regulation. He is particularly interested in the intersection of HIV and mental health, exploring how psychiatric care can improve quality of life and long-term outcomes for people living with HIV. Kashaviyah has presented research at national conferences and co-authored abstracts on physician advocacy and health equity in carceral health settings. He is passionate about integrating clinical care, research, and advocacy, and plans to pursue a career in psychiatry as a clinician-scientist dedicated to advancing mental health care through evidence-based practice.
