Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine New York

My name is Milan Patel, BS and I am a third-year medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, New York. My interest in PM&R stemmed from my time volunteering at my local hospital's rehabilitation unit. I further developed my passion for PM&R by participating in the 8-week AAP Medical Student Summer Clinical Externship program between my first and second of medical school, which allowed me to immerse myself in the different aspects of PM&R early on in my medical school journey. My current PM&R interests include sports medicine, adaptive sports, musculoskeletal ultrasound, brain injury medicine, and spinal cord injury medicine. I am currently apart of different organizations, like AMSSM, NYSPMR, Pathways in PM&R, and more. I hope to continue immersing myself in the field and meeting more fellow students and faculty in the field!
