Raymond E. Mathews, MD is a Brain Injury Medicine Fellow at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he also served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ.
Dr. Mathews has been actively involved in research and quality improvement, including projects on early physiatry consultation in traumatic brain injury, brachial plexus disorders, and neurorehabilitation outcomes. During residency, Dr. Mathews helped expand mentorship initiatives, strengthen didactic curricula, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
