Brendan Hammond, B.S., is a second-year medical student at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine with interests in pain management and integrative rehabilitation. His current projects include case reports on acute-on-chronic pain and respiratory failure in a patient with bilateral above-knee amputations and calciphylaxis, as well as the use of multimodal analgesia with acupuncture in sickle cell crisis.
