Nelson G. Castillo Rivera, MD

Nelson G. Castillo Rivera is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician with an epidemiology and preventive health
background who is currently completing a Cancer Rehabilitation Fellowship Program at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System in Florida. He recently completed residency training in PM&R at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Castillo Rivera is captivated by the PM&R profession and is interested in the fact that rehabilitation pertains to a wide variety of medical conditions including cancer. And more importantly, he feels rewarding to have a positive impact on a patient’s quality of life. He grew up in the west side of Puerto Rico and love sports, salsa dancing, trying new restaurants and traveling.
