University of Missouri-Columbia PM&R Program
Raquel J. Johnson, MD, is a third-year Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) resident at the University of Missouri-Columbia. A graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, she is passionate about sports medicine, adaptive sports, and amputee care. Drawn to the functional focus of PM&R, Dr. Johnson takes pleasure in helping patients overcome life's challenges despite physical or mental impairments.
Beyond clinical care, she is committed to increasing diversity in rehabilitation medicine. In addition to mentoring, she serves as the research coordinator for Representation in Rehab, allowing her to connect underrepresented students/trainees with research and networking opportunities. Dr. Johnson is excited to continue exploring opportunities within PM&R to foster inclusivity and equity in the field.
