Drew Redepenning, MD ATP is a PGY3 Resident Physician in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Redepenning has over seven years of clinical experience working in the field of assistive technology and has given multiple national educational and research presentations in the field throughout his career. He is recognized as an expert within the field of adaptive video gaming, and is the founder of Gaming Readapted, a widely used educational platform supporting accessible video gaming for individuals with physical disabilities. His research focuses on adaptive technology, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and the social and functional benefits of adaptive gaming. He was the recipient of the 2024 DeVivo Mentored Research Award for his research within the field of spinal cord injury medicine. His career goal is to lead innovation in adaptive technology integration within rehabilitation medicine, improving independence and quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injury through clinical practice and research.
