After several years in the clinical cardiopulmonary physiology specialty, I decided to enter academic medicine as a clinical research coordinator. Having several years of research experience during my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I witnessed firsthand how research can impact patient care. Upon graduating and entering the clinical care world, I was able to connect the influence of research with evidence-based practice. My main interest in rehabilitation encompasses a breadth of clinical populations such as: spasticity, stroke rehab, spinal cord injuries, and cancer rehab during chemotherapy.
