Stephen Fanous is a third-year medical student at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is actively involved in PM&R research, student leadership, and outreach, serving as president of the KU PM&R Student Interest Group and co-president of the Kansas City Physiatry Co-Op. His research focuses on musculoskeletal medicine and neurorehabilitation, including work funded by an NIH T32 Training Grant and a first-author case report on opioid hypermetabolism. Stephen is passionate about mentorship, service to underserved communities, and promoting exposure to physiatry through creative media and multi-institutional collaboration.
