Medical Student
California University of Science and Medicine, School of Medicine
Brian Nguyen, BS, is a third-year medical student at the California University of Science and Medicine with research interests in neuromuscular rehabilitation, chronic pain, and health equity. He has presented work on spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy, exercise interventions, and occupational health at national conferences, and has published in journals such as Rehab in Review and Neurological Sciences. His passion for rehabilitation medicine deepened through his volunteer work at Thrive Adaptive and, more recently, Camp No Limits, where he provided medical support and served as a counselor for children with limb differences. There, he witnessed firsthand how adaptive strategies, therapy, and community can empower children and families. Outside of medicine, Brian enjoys volunteering at his local church, mentoring youth, and spending time with his two younger siblings, often on the basketball court.
