Jang-Jier Tseng, MD, Attending Physiatrist at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Taiwan), specializes in neuro-rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, sonography and electrodiagnostics, and echo-guided injection. Dr. Tseng completed his PM&R residency at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in July 2025, serving as chief resident in his final year, and immediately transitioned to his current staff role.
His clinical practice focuses on stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation, along with comprehensive assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries, integrating advanced sonography and electrodiagnostics together with echo-guided injection to optimize functional outcomes.
During his residency, he completed the study “Spontaneous Activity in Laryngeal Electromyography for Prognosis Prediction for Unilateral Vocal Fold Paralysis,” elucidating the prognostic value of laryngeal EMG patterns. In the laboratory, he combines single-neuron electrophysiology with two-photon calcium imaging to chronically track and model neuroplastic changes in primary somatosensory cortex after peripheral nerve injury and to design targeted neuromodulatory interventions aimed at restoring functional sensory maps.
