Daniel de la Huerta Meza, MD is an International Research Fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). As part of the HSS Research Institute and Center for Regenerative Medicine, his work focuses on translational research in orthobiologics and their role in managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of physiatrists, surgeons and basic scientists, his aim is to generate high-quality evidence to help guide clinical decision making for the safe and responsible use of biologic therapies. As an aspiring physiatrist, his research interests focus on enhancing patient function and quality of life while also seeking to prevent, delay or, if needed, augment surgical interventions.
