Dr. Ernest Barthélemy is a general and trauma neurosurgeon who serves as Director of Acute Care Neurosurgery at the One Brooklyn Health/Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery, Neurology and Public Health at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, where he co-directs the Global Neurosurgery Laboratory and the Global Neuroscience Initiative, which aim to advance neuro-health equity through multi-disciplinary investigations and annual symposia. Dr. Barthélemy completed his medical and neurosurgical training at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine, a global surgery fellowship and Master of Public Health degree at Harvard University, and fellowships in neurotrauma and health equity at the University of California, San Francisco.
