Dr. Jonny Huang, DPT is a physical therapist in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he integrates advanced manual therapy techniques with translational research in stroke recovery. He is a certified Fascial Manipulation® Specialist and teacher, with training under Dr. Luigi Stecco, Dr. Carla Stecco, Dr. Antonio Stecco, and other international leaders in the field. Since 2016, Dr. Huang has been deeply engaged in the development and dissemination of Fascial Manipulation, serving as course faculty, international teaching assistant, and translator of the official FM textbooks into Chinese.
At Johns Hopkins, Dr. Huang is the only certified FM specialist, focusing on complex musculoskeletal and neuromotor dysfunction. His current research, in collaboration with Dr. Preeti Raghavan, explores the role of hyaluronan as a biomarker in post-stroke recovery, utilizing advanced imaging techniques such as MRI T1ρ mapping and ultrasound. His work bridges clinical care, education, and research, with a mission to advance rehabilitation through both evidence-based practice and hands-on innovation.
