Northwell PM&R
I was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and have since lived in multiple cities across Europe as well as North America. I attended primary school in Ireland, high school in the suburbs of Chicago, and University in Alberta. I then pursued an MSc in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta before ultimately switching paths to medical school at the University of New England where I concurrently obtained a Master of Public Health.
I am now completing my preliminary medicine year at Lutheran General Hospital before joining Northwell PM&R at Hofstra's Zucker School of Medicine. As a future PM&R physician, I aim to implement a comprehensive approach in the rehabilitation community. I believe that to treat a physical disability successfully, the social barriers interfering with the patient's recovery must also be addressed.
