Jared Gershowitz, DO
University of Michigan PGY-4 Resident
Dr. Jared Gershowitz is a fourth-year Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Resident at the University of Michigan. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, he went on to complete a research internship at the University of Pennsylvania where he was awarded a research grant for his work on cancer pain and HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancers. He went on to earn his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and later matched into PM&R residency at Michigan Medicine.
Dr. Gershowitz has a strong interest in pursuing a Multidisciplinary Pain Fellowship, with a focus on interventional procedures as well as the management of acute, chronic, and cancer pain. He is currently active in the University of Michigan Health System’s Pain Management Committee along with the Pain and Opioid Stewardship Subcommittee. Additionally, he was selected into the Healthcare Administration Scholars Program, which is a program designed for house officers interested in integrating healthcare administration into their careers through training in healthcare economics, law, regulations, hospital administration, and management.
In his free time, Dr. Gershowitz enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and playing soccer in a competitive men's league.
