Cynthia Garvan, PhD

Research Professor

Cynthia Wilson Garvan is an embedded statistician in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida. Cynthia Garvan, MA (Mathematics), PhD (Statistics) is a unique biostatistician with specialty in medical statistics, large data organization, team organization, and research mentorship to clinical faculty. Dr. Garvan is a Research Professor at the University of Florida and an embedded biostatistician in three clinical departments: Anesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics. She is recognized for her extensive and comprehensive experience in multidisciplinary research, garnering externally funded grants, publishing in diverse fields, and teaching excellence. Dr. Garvan is the Co-Director of TRACTS (Training and Research Academy for Clinical and Translational Science) and a member of the Perioperative and Anesthesiology Network (PeCAN) in the Department of Anesthesiology.
