Abby Cheng, MD, MPHS is an associate professor, clinician scientist, and physiatrist at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. As a co-chair of the AAPM&R Long COVID Collaborative, she is a co-lead of the Collaborative’s recently published compendium guidance statement on the holistic assessment and management of Long COVID. She is also the lead principal investigator of an AHRQ grant to improve access to Long COVID care in Missouri and the surrounding Midwest region. Her broader clinical research program aims to optimize the conservative management of chronic musculoskeletal pain and related impairment by addressing biopsychosocial comorbidities as part of a person-centered comprehensive treatment plan.
