Senior Manager of Clinical Research Compliance
Burke Rehabilitation Hospital PM&R Program
I am the Senior Manager of Clinical Research Compliance at Burke Rehabilitation, overseeing the regulatory and operational aspects of all human subjects research conducted at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY. Initially, I was responsible for building the infrastructure to enable BRH to be a leader in PM&R research via initiating federally funded and investigator initiated trials, and now that the bones are built, I am charged with initiating clinical trials as well as collaborating with multi-center offerings for our inpatients and community members. Our research cuts across diverse disabilities and conditions and addresses improving clinical outcomes and quality of life through new medical, behavioral and technological adaptations.
Before joining Burke, I worked within Stamford Health’s Department of Research and Discovery, as the Sr Research Associate, promoted to Manager of the Office of Academic Research. I received my graduate degree with honors in epidemiology and biostatistics, concentrating in maternal child reproductive and sexual health from the City University of New York School of Public Health and Health Policy in 2019. In 2022, I completed eCornell’s certificate program in Healthcare Management. I was then promoted to Manager of the Office of Academic Research, managing the non-trial research efforts at Stamford Health.
I am personally interested in advancing evidence based research on interventions promoting quality and equitable healthcare for at risk older adults, stroke survivors, and persons with brain and spinal cord injuries. Externally, I am involved in collaborative research projects and serve as a lead peer-reviewer for scientific journals. I speak at national conferences and guest lecture at multiple institutions. Aside from my career, I enjoy spending time with my family, including camping, hiking and exploring with my husband and 7 year old rescue doggo, Holden.
