Matheus Cruz, Other (he/him/his)

OMS III, OPP Fellow
Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Matheus Cruz is a third-year Osteopathic Medical Student at Rocky Vista University in Ivins, Utah. He has a background in anthropology and prior clinical experience as an EMT, medical assistant, and scribe. At RVU, he serves as an OPP Fellow and previously held leadership roles as DEI President and Officer, where he helped launch the campus multicultural center and equity initiatives. Matheus has presented on topics including Long COVID and medical ethics, and his interests span musculoskeletal medicine, mental health, health equity, and patient advocacy. Outside of medicine, he coaches youth basketball, paddleboards, and enjoys the ukulele.
