JungYoon Jung, MD

Corewell Health (Taylor) PM&R Program

My name is JungYoon, but I go by JJ! I’m a PGY-3 in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Corewell Health in Michigan. Within PM&R, I’m especially interested in pain medicine and neurorehabilitation.

I'm originally from South Korea, and I grew up moving around a lot and have lived in Canada, Korea, the United States, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Qatar, and Taiwan. That experience gave me the chance to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds and see the world from different perspectives. I’ve also traveled to more than 20 other countries, which has been one of the most fun and rewarding parts of my life so far.

I’m fascinated by languages and cultures. I speak English and Korean fluently and can get by in Arabic and Hindi/Urdu. Learning new languages has both been a challenge and a hobby for me, and I love interacting with people in different languages.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, playing tennis, and pickleball. I’m looking forward to connecting with colleagues at AAPMR!
