John M. Baratta, MD, MBA, is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on stroke recovery, Long COVID, and complex chronic illness. He founded and directed the UNC COVID Recovery Clinic, providing interdisciplinary care to thousands of patients during the pandemic. Dr. Baratta serves as an Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina, where he leads clinical innovation, education, and quality improvement efforts. With dual training in medicine and business, he is passionate about improving access, outcomes, and value in rehabilitation care. His work integrates patient-centered care with system-level impact across academic and community settings.
