Post-baccalaureate Researcher
Oberlin College
I currently serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. Recently, I joined the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology research team at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Institute, where I found an exciting opportunity to merge my passions for innovative medicine and patient-centered care. In May 2025, I graduated from Oberlin College with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Upon graduation, I was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society in recognition of my academic excellence. Outside the classroom, I was a four-year member of the varsity football team and a founding member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. My time at Oberlin cultivated a strong interest in research and desire to give back through science. I was actively involved in projects spanning chemical drug manufacturing, pharmaceutical development, and clinical medicine at institutions such as Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. These formative experiences not only sharpened my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the transformative impact of research on patient care. In the latter years of my undergraduate career, I founded and led a research project under the guidance of Dr. Ali Shakir, investigating the efficacy of radiofrequency ablation therapy in patients with cervical spondylosis and spinal stenosis. While I have always had a deep-rooted passion for serving my community through healthcare, these experiences have further solidified my desire to pursue a career in medicine. I am currently applying to medical school and plan to matriculate in Fall 2027.
