Dr. Sanjog Pangarkar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, with subspecialty certifications in Pain Medicine and Brain Injury Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed combined residencies in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then pursued a Pain Medicine fellowship at UCLA and the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center. After fellowship,
Dr. Pangarkar was previously the Director of Inpatient and Interventional Pain Medicine at Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center,as well as Deputy National Director for the VA’s Pain Program Office in Washington, D.C. He is currently Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at UCLA, in the Division of PM&R. His academic interests include perioperative pain management, medical education, and interdisciplinary approaches to pain management.
