Alberto Esquenazi, MD

Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital - Elkins Park

Alberto Esquenazi, MD, serves as the John Otto Haas Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jefferson Einstein Medical Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is Chief Clinical Officer of Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation. Also in Philadelphia, Dr. Esquenazi is Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jefferson University.

Dr. Esquenazi received his medical degree in Medicine and Surgery from Universidad Nacional Autonoma, in Mexico City. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Temple/MossRehab, in Philadelphia, and a fellowship in gait analysis and prosthetic research at MossRehab.

Dr. Esquenazi’s research focuses on spasticity evaluation and management, gait analysis, limb prosthetics and orthotics and technology and robotics for rehabilitation.

He is Past President of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a member of the Executive Board of the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association. He is the recipient of prestigious national and international awards for his clinical, research and educational efforts.
