Oghenewoma Oghenesume is a 4th-year dual-degree MD/MBA candidate at Yale School of Medicine and Yale School of Management. His recent projects span insurer website accessibility for people with disabilities, SDOH-driven disparities in orthopedic outcomes, and substance use as a risk factor in surgical recovery. His rehabilitation-focused work includes robotic therapy for hand spasticity, interventional spine utilization, and treatment disparities for low back pain in patients with cerebral palsy. Beyond clinical research, he has engaged in innovation through a brain–computer interface startup and helped co-design a healthcare transformation course at Rice MBA, with a long-term goal of integrating equity, systemic change and innovation with patient-centered rehabilitation.
