Graduate Research Assistant
Texas Biomedical Device Center, The University of Texas at Dallas
My name is Zachary S. Bynum, MS and I am a 3rd year Systems and Cellular Neuroscience Ph.D. Student in the Texas Biomedical Device Center at The University of Texas at Dallas. I am researching how to improve neurorehabilitation through vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) for Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Stroke patients. I am currently exploring new neurorehabilitation techniques and other biomarkers of VNS through non-invasive physiological monitoring, mainly EEG and EMG. I previously used computational modeling to find predictive variables of recovery outcomes.
