Derrick Allred, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital. He serves as the Brain Injury Medical Director, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of brain injuries such as traumatic brain injury, disorders of consciousness, and neurologic disorders.He is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Brain Injury Medicine. In 2025, he began service as the Fellowship Director for the ACGME-accredited Brain Injury Fellowship training program. Raised in Southern Utah, he completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Utah, followed by his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Allred brings his experience from UT Health San Antonio, where he served as Residency Program Director from 2018 to 2022.
