Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, CDR Dupree earned his commission through the United States Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. degree in Biology/Chemistry. He has a unique history serving with distinction in the United States Army. He spent six years on active duty as a Field Artillery Officer serving numerous operational leadership positions, including platoon leader, company executive officer, battalion intelligence officer, and assistant brigade fire support officer. He deployed twice to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
CDR Dupree earned his MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He received his commission in the Navy reserves in 2011 as a Lieutenant. He completed Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Grand Rapids – Michigan State University. He completed his Master’s in Business Administration from George Washington University.
After residency, CDR Dupree worked Staff Orthopaedic Surgeon Naval Health Clinic New England (NHCNE) for three years and earned his board certification.. He served in numerous leadership roles: The Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee, President of the Medical Staff, Interim Chief Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officer, and Head Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) Orthopaedic Physician,
In 2020 he completed fellowship at Sigvard T. Hansen Jr. Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, Washington. CDR Dupree joined the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis, MD. He is a team physician for Division 1A sports teams. He maintains a robust Foot & Ankle and Sports Orthopaedic clinical practice while also serving in a leadership position as a director.
CDR Dupree's military awards include Bronze Star medals (2), Navy Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medals (3), Army Achievement medals (2), and Combat Action Badge. He served oversees tours in South Korea, Germany, and Iraq.
