Resident/House Staff
Albany Medical Center PM&R Residency
Lee Esposito, DO, PGY-2, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Albany Medical Center
I am a second-year resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Albany Medical Center. My interests within physiatry are broad, but I am especially drawn to general rehabilitation, amputee medicine, pediatrics, adaptive sports, and lifestyle medicine. My philosophy as a provider is that patients should be supported in moving as well as possible for as long as possible, and this principle guides both my clinical work and my long-term career goals.
As a lifelong multi-sport athlete, I have played soccer, trained in powerlifting, and participated in cross training, though I enjoy just about any sport-related activity. These experiences continue to shape the way I view movement, recovery, and resilience, and they strongly influence my approach to patient care.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, playing music, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. I believe these interests not only keep me balanced but also help me connect with patients on a more personal level. I am excited to continue learning and growing through the lens of rehabilitation medicine and remain committed to serving my patients with compassion, energy, and dedication throughout my career.
