Danielle Broussard, R.D. is a fourth-year medical student at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tampa, FL. After earning her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences, she completed a dietetic internship at Hines VA in Chicago. She worked in the VA as a clinical dietician for five years serving Veterans. During that time, she launched her online nutrition practice for endurance athletes, including Wounded Warriors Project.
Danielle completed an OMM pre-doctoral fellowship, where she treated patients, taught anatomy, refined her diagnostic and treatment skills, and participated in an international medical outreach trip in the Galapagos Islands. She is passionate about PM&R and disability advocacy, and although she was named Student Doctor of the Year and Regional Campus Student of the Year, her proudest achievement is spearheading the integration of disability education and respectful communication into her medical school’s curriculum, now in implementation.
