Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellow

Kristen Courtney, DO, is a pediatric rehabilitation medicine fellow at Johns Hopkins University and the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where she developed a strong interest in caring for children with complex neurologic and neuromuscular conditions.
Her clinical and academic interests center on the longitudinal management of spasticity and neuromuscular disease, with a focus on improving function, independence, and quality of life for children and their families. Dr. Courtney is particularly passionate about multidisciplinary, team-based approaches to care and advancing treatment options for children with neuromuscular disorders.
Following fellowship, she plans to continue her career in pediatric rehabilitation medicine in the Midwest, where she and her husband hope to
return.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Courtney enjoys spending time with her family, cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, and adventuring with her 4 dogs.
