University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences PM&R Program
Born in Memphis, TN, Dr. Coleman has been a longtime advocate for underserved populations.
She is passionate about musculoskeletal health and mobility in patients of all ages. She is a
graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, the nation's only Historically Black and Catholic
University. At Xavier, she was a very active student and volunteered in multiple arenas. She was
especially passionate about volunteering in a variety of literacy initiatives in the city of New
Orleans. She graduated Cum Laude as a biology/pre-medicine major with a minor in Chemistry
and honors in English and Theology. She then matriculated to Southern Illinois University where
she completed a Master's in Biological Science and MEDPREP (post-baccalaureate) program.
She then proceeded to attend Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where she
graduated in 2023. She continues to advocate for patients of all abilities as a Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation resident. She is a budding researcher with a host of abstract presentations at
various national conferences. She is currently a 3rd year Resident and considering pediatric
fellowship.
