Thomas M. Motyka, DO, MSc, MHPE, is Chair of the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Board certified in Internal Medicine and Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, he has directed and supported multiple residency programs. A graduate of Cornell and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he trained at Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He completed fellowships in Primary Care Research and Preventive Medicine at UNC–Chapel Hill. He earned a Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Campbell University and an MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care from the University of Oxford. His research explores pain, musculoskeletal disorders, regenerative therapies, and complementary health approaches. An active scholar and educator, he has authored numerous publications, contributed to Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine, and co-authored The Rapid Recovery Handbook (Harper Collins).
