Matthias Linke, DO, is the director of spinal cord injury rehabilitation at Barrow Neurological Institute at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with fellowship trained board certification in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine
He specializes in acute and chronic rehabilitation resulting from spinal cord injury, tumors, trauma, infection, fractures, deformities and degeneration; including myelopathy, central cord syndrome, spinal stenosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, syringomyelia, spina bifida, neuropathy, foot drop, paralysis, quadriplegia, and paraplegia.
Dr. Linke’s expertise includes spinal cord injury rehabilitation and the management of acute neuro-rehabilitation and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Spinal Injury Association, and the International Spinal Cord Society.
Dr. Linke received his medical degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale. He completed his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. He completed a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
Dr. Linke’s research interests in spinal cord injury include pressure injury prevention, wheelchair repairs, functional mobility devices, blood pressure regulation, adaptive recreational sports, and neurostimulation, and bringing innovative technology to patients.
