Ib R. Odderson, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at the University of Washington, in Seattle, and Adjunct Associate Profesor Radiology.
He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to that, he earned his PhD degree at Indiana University, in Bloomington, which was followed by a Research Visiting Fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health, in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Odderson has specialized in applications of botulinum toxins. He pioneered the treatment of hyperhidrosis with botulinum neurotoxin. His book ‘Botulnum Toxin Injection Guide’ covers treatment of migraine, dystonia, spasticity, sweating, drooling and pain.
His work appears in journals such as Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair, Annals of Neurology, and PMR, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics of North America and Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. Odderson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of several organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitaton, International Neurotoxin Association and International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. Dr. Odderson has been identified as one of Seattle’s top doctors in Seattle Magazine and Consumer’s Checkbook several times.
